World Test Championship Points Table (2023-25): Sri Lanka scripted history as they registered a famous victory against England in the third Test at the Kennington Oval in London on Monday.

This was a consolation win for Sri Lanka in the three-match series which eventually was won by England 2-1.

This was Sri Lanka's first Test win in England after 10 years with star opener Pathum Nissanka smashing a memorable hundred to help his side chase down the 219-run target.

The win over England at the Oval not only helped Sri Lanka avoid the series whitewash but it has also helped the Dhananjaya de Silved-led side pip England in the World Test Championship points table.

Sri Lanka now have jumped to the fifth position at 42.86 PCT, having won three out of their seven matches.

On the other hand, England have now slipped to the No.6 position as their PCT has dropped to 42.18 after losing their first Test of the summer.

They had completed a 3-0 whitewash against West Indies at home before winning the first two Tests against Sri Lanka.

Earlier this year, England suffered a humiliating 1-4 series defeat against two-time WTC finalists India away from home.

Rohit Sharma-led Indian team, which will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series from next week, stands at the No.1 position in the WTC 2023-25 points table.

The Rohit Sharma-led side has 68.52 PCT and they are followed by 2023 winners Australia (62.50 PCT%).

2021 WTC winners New Zealand stand on the third spot with 50.00 PCT% whereas Bangladesh are placed fourth (45.83 PCT) after securing a memorable 2-0 series win in Pakistan.

Sri Lanka’s rise in the points table also means that South Africa have now dropped to No. 7 position again and they are followed by Pakistan (19.05) and the West Indies (18.52).

The final of 2023-25 WTC is scheduled to take place at Lord’s in June 2025.
