India National Cricket Team vs Australian Men's Cricket Team Match:
Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his brilliance as India extended their lead in the first Test against Australia at Perth in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
India are now 321 runs ahead as they finished the first session of the third day on 275/1 in their second innings in 84 overs.
Jaiswal, who smashed his first Test hundred on the Australian soil, is unbeaten on 141 runs on the back of 12 fours and three sixes.
He has stitched yet another brilliant partnership of 74 runs for the second wicket with Devdutt Padikkal who is at the other end on 25 runs.
Australia managed to pick just one wicket in the morning session when Mithell Starc removed KL Rahul for 77 runs in the 63rd over.
Jaiswal and Rahul have stitched a record opening partnership of 201 runs but the latter was unfortunate to miss out on a big hundred.
India continued from their overnight score of 172/0 and scored 103 runs in the first session of the third day at the Optus Stadium.
India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and opted to bat first in the series opener. The visitors introduced two debutants in Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.
On the other hand, India decided to go with Washington Sundar in the playing XI ahead of veterans Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
India were bowled out for just 150 runs in their first innings but did well with the ball as the took a first-inning lead of 46 runs after dismissing the hosts for 104 runs.
