Yograj Singh, the father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has launched a fresh attack on MS Dhoni, claiming that the former Indian captain hindered Yuvraj's career despite his 17-year service to the national team.

Yograj alleges that Dhoni's leadership and decisions had a detrimental impact on Yuvraj's cricketing journey, leading to a decline in his career. This is not the first time Yograj Singh has criticized Dhoni, and his latest comments have sparked controversy in the cricketing world.

While he recognizes Dhoni's exceptional cricketing skills and achievements, he harbors a deep-seated resentment towards him due to a past incident involving his son Yuvraj, which he cannot seem to forget or forgive.

“I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life—first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids," Yograj said in an interview with the Zee Switch’s YouTube channel.

Yograj believes that his son Yuvraj had more to offer in his cricketing career, suggesting that he could have played for another 4-5 years. However, he holds MS Dhoni responsible for Yuvraj's retirement, implying that Dhoni's actions or decisions led to Yuvraj's early exit from the game.

“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won’t be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country,” Yograj added.

Yuvraj had an illustrious international cricket career spanning nearly two decades, from his debut on October 3, 2000, to his retirement in May 2019. During this period, he represented India in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20Is, leaving an indelible mark on the sport. His notable contributions include playing a crucial role in India's victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup.
