In a sensational comeback, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin played a pivotal role in India's comfortable victory over Australia in the 2nd ODI.
The 37-year-old spinner claimed the wickets of set batsman Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner. Warner tried to outsmart the off-spinner by switching his stance, but the latter got the better of him. Subsequently, Ashwin later got Josh Inglis out LBW, emerging as India's standout bowler. Ashwin took three wickets in his seven overs, conceding 41 runs as Australia was bundled out for 217 in 28.2 overs.
India delivered a comprehensive performance in the second ODI, with Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer notching centuries. The Indian team amassed a formidable total of 399 runs in 50 overs, setting the stage for a dominant victory.

KL Rahul, when asked about the team selection for the World Cup, emphasised that every player in the side would be eager to capitalise on their opportunities.
"Nothing is discussed, but guys coming back will want to make it count. With the World Cup only a couple of weeks away, guys will want to get into it. They need to get used to the challenges; they will be keen to get back onto the field," Rahul said.
Ashwin's inclusion in India's squad for the entire ODI series came after all-rounder Axar Patel was ruled out of the first two matches due to a hamstring injury. Ashwin had been initially overlooked by selectors when India announced its squads for the World Cup and Asia Cup.
