AFG vs ZIM, 1st T20I: Afghanistan's star bowler Naveen-ul-Haq bowled a 13-ball over which helped Zimbabwe beat Afghanistan in the the series opener on Wednesday. The visitors are trailing by 1-0 in the ongoing T20I series since they lost the first match by four wickets. The incident occurred during the 15th over of the second innings, where Zimbabwe needed 57 runs to win the match with five overs remaining.

But Naveen's overturned the tide in Zimbabwe's favor. He began the over by bowling a wide delivery as Brian Bennett took a single. And then Naveen bowled a no-ball and Sikandar Raza smacked him a four as the ball went towards third man.

He then bowled wide yorkers and instead ended up bowling four more wides. He then bowled around the wicket when Raza smashed him for another boundary as the ball went down the ground for a free hit. Naveen then made a comeback by dismissing Raza on the third legal delivery of his over.

Naveen then gave away three runs and then bowled another wide ball and thus ended the over. He conceded 19 runs and thus reduced the deficit to 38 runs off 30 balls for the hosts. Naveen registered figures of 4-1-33-3.

Zimbabwe won the nail-biting thriller against Afghanistan as they chased down the target of 145 runs on the last ball. It was Zimbabwe's first victory against Afghanistan after 2019 and is leading the T20I series by 1-0.

Zimbabwe was reeling at 128/7 and they needed 17 more runs to win from the last two overs. But Tashinga Musekiwa repaid the faith of the selectors and took the team across the line.

Azmatullah Omarzai was supposed to defend 11 runs during the last over of the nail-biting thriller. Musekiwa scored the winning run on the last ball and thus helped the team win the thrilling match and entertained the fans.
