Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for the Red Fort area from December 8 to 13, ahead of the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is being hosted at the monument by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Anticipating large crowds and increased vehicle movement on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg, special traffic arrangements have been put in place to maintain smooth flow, ensure pedestrian safety, and provide public convenience. Traffic restrictions, diversions, and designated parking plans will remain effective from December 8 to 13, between 8:00 am and 9:00 am.

Traffic Restrictions & Diversions

Delhi Traffic Police may impose full traffic restrictions on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg during event hours, if required. Traffic diversions may also be enforced from the following points as needed:

Chhatta Rail Chowk
T-Point Subhash Marg
Shanti Van Chowk
GPO Chowk
Delhi Gate
Hanuman Mandir Crossing

Parking Arrangements

Visitors heading to Red Fort and the Chandni Chowk Market should use only the designated parking locations listed below:

Parade Ground Parking, Netaji Subhash Marg
ASI Parking, Red Fort, Nishad Raj Marg
Dangal Maidan Parking, SPM Marg
Omaxe Mall Parking, HC Sen Road
Church Mission Road Parkin

Instructions For Visitors

Park only in authorised parking areas; avoid roadside or illegal parking.
Pedestrians should use footpaths and designated crossings for safety.
Visitors, shoppers, and customers are requested to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow all on-ground directions.

Affected Routes 

Traffic movement may be affected on the following stretches during the event:

• Ring Road (Rajghat to ISBT Kashmiri Gate)
• Netaji Subhash Marg
• Nishad Raj Marg
• SPM Marg

Commuters are advised to avoid these routes, if possible, and plan their journeys in advance.
