Delhi Weather Today: The national capital, Delhi, woke up to strong breezes intensifying the winter chills amid improved Air quality as rain has washed smog away in the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has anticipated cloudy skies and wind blowing at a speed of 20 kmph in its weather forecast for Saturday.

Delhi Air Pollution: AQI Improves Further 

Contrary to the persistent air quality issues, Delhi experienced a further improvement in air quality at 7 am on Saturday, with a reading of 264 in the ‘poor’ category, according to Central Pollution Control Board data. The air quality has improved by 33 points from 297 points at 7 am on Friday.

Delhi Weather Forecast: Strong Breeze, Cloudy Skies Ahead

- According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky is likely to remain cloudy on January 24 and 25, but a slight rise in daytime temperatures is also expected.

- But, this pleasant weather will not last long. A fresh western disturbance is expected to become active from January 26 (Republic Day), which may bring light rain again to Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad on January 27.

-Dense fog is likely to prevail during the morning hours next week, with minimum temperatures expected to range between 6 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius.

Delhi Experienced Unusual Change In Weather

A sudden shift in wind direction caused temperatures to rise sharply, with the maximum temperature touching 27.1 degrees Celsius on Thursday, the highest recorded in January in the last seven years. However, following the recent spell of rain, temperatures have dropped quickly, bringing back the winter chill across Delhi.
