The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to complete the construction of the multi-level car park at Nehru Place by mid-September. Currently, finishing works are underway, and the department is in the process of obtaining necessary NOCs from various agencies, including the fire department.

The six-story car park, including a basement and ground floor, covers an area of 29,624 square metres and has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 62 crore. It will provide parking for 660 two-wheelers and 352 cars, easing parking woes for shopkeepers and visitors, and reducing roadside congestion and traffic jams in the busy commercial hub.

To address water conservation and waterlogging issues, the facility will feature two rainwater harvesting systems. In addition, the car park will include electric vehicle charging stations, lifts, CCTV surveillance, and adequate firefighting equipment.

The DDA has also invited tenders for the completion of pending works related to the project. Once operational, the facility is expected to greatly improve parking management and convenience for visitors to Nehru Place.
