The Delhi University (DU) administration decided in a meeting on Wednesday to review and enhance security protocols across all its campuses. The meeting was chaired by DU Proctor Prof. Manoj Kumar and included the university's principals, superintendents, and security officers.
The administration stated that this step will be significant in creating a safe and disciplined environment for students, teachers, and staff.
Key Security Measures Decided
Strict Entry And Exit: A strict identity verification process will be implemented for entry and exit at all college campuses.
Outsider Access: Outsiders will only be permitted entry with a valid permission letter.
Increased Surveillance: Surveillance will be increased around each college and hostel campus.
Security Deployment: Security personnel will be deployed at sensitive points.
Enhanced Police Coordination
Prof Manoj Kumar stated that the university has decided to increase coordination with local police officials to make night-time patrols and law and order more effective. He added that an assurance of full cooperation has been received from the Deputy Commissioners of Police of North, South, South-West, and North-West Delhi.

Directives For Security Staff
DU's Chief Security Officer and regional security officers have been instructed to:
- Ensure 24-hour surveillance.
- Take immediate action against any anti-social activity on campuses.
