Panic spread in Gurugram's Sector-07 Extension on Friday morning after the body of a young man, wrapped in a quilt, was discovered in a pile of rubbish. The body was found opposite the Panchmukhi Temple and the community building.
At around 8:30 am, local residents noticed the quilt and, suspecting something was amiss, opened it. They found the blood-stained body of a young man inside, who had visible signs of injury on his head.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon learning of the incident, residents immediately informed the police control room. New Colony Station House Officer (SHO) Tejpal and Sector-9A SHO Kuldeep Singh arrived at the scene with a police team and sealed off the area.
Forensic experts and a crime team were called to the scene. They have taken custody of the body and begun the investigation.
Preliminary Findings
- The preliminary investigation revealed that the young man had sustained serious injuries to his head and face.
- Police also recovered a large, blood-soaked stone at the scene.
- It is suspected that the man was killed with this stone.
Efforts To Identify Victim
The Gurugram police are actively working to identify the young man. People in the vicinity are being questioned, and CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed in the hope of finding a lead.
