Information is emerging that the network of a gang that buys and sells newborn babies has spread to southern Indian states. In the initial investigation, police have found that this gang also sold babies to childless couples in cities like Hyderabad and Chennai. However, the police are currently avoiding giving out too much detail on this matter. It is expected that more people will be taken into custody soon, and based on their questioning, the babies who were sold will also be rescued.
According to the police, the mastermind of this gang, Sundar, who works as a medical representative (MR), used to frequently meet with doctors running clinics in small towns around Fatehabad and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The police are now questioning those doctors as well. This is how he built his network in many places. His involvement in selling children in South India is also coming to light, so the police are investigating the network through which the babies were sold in the southern states.
The accused had no idea that the police would be able to reach them, which is why they were fearlessly trafficking children for the last three years. To remove any evidence, they had also prepared fake adoption documents. This is the reason they were not caught until now and had started expanding their network from North India to the southern states.

In the case of the baby kidnapping from the Sarai Kale Khan bus terminal, the police are now searching for Rambaran, an associate of a Dr Kamlesh. Raids are being conducted in several districts of Uttar Pradesh to find him. It was Rambaran who asked his cousin, Virbhan, to kidnap a baby and then bought the child from him for Rs 1.5 lakh.
During the investigation, police found that Rambaran already has four children. When his fifth daughter was born last year, he sold her as well.
Meanwhile, in the same case, the mother of two involved sisters, Krishna and Preeti, works as a midwife. Therefore, the police are also investigating whether she played a role in delivering babies for young women with unwanted pregnancies. Police are hopeful that many more arrests will be made in this case soon, after which more newborn babies can be rescued.
