The Railway has announced the launch of two Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains between Delhi and Shamli has been announced for the convenience of daily commuters. At a programme organised in Baraut on Monday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is set to flag off both MEMU trains.

MEMU train number 64033/64034 will run between Old Delhi and Shamli, and train number 64035/64035 will run between Delhi Shahdara and Shamli.

Railway officials have stated that the timetable for the regular operation of these trains will be announced soon. 

For the inauguration, both trains will depart from Baraut. One of these MEMU trains will run from Baraut to Old Delhi via Baghpat Road, Khekra, Noli, Gokulpur Saboli Halt, and Delhi Shahdara. The other will reach Shamli from Baraut via Qasimpur Kheri and Kandhla.
