Bihar Board Exam 2024: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) mentioned that there is some confusion among people about the recent circulars concerning the minimum attendance requirements for classes 9, 10 and 11, 12.

“It is being interpreted that to appear in the Intermediate (Class 12) final exam, a minimum of 75 per cent attendance in both classes 11 and 12 and for Matric in both classes 9 and 10 is mandatory while this 75 per cent attendance requirement is separate for each class, and not combined,” BSEB said in a social media post.

Furthermore, the BSEB clarified that starting from the first day of classes until the conclusion of the final exams, a minimum attendance of 75 percent is required for class 11 students. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the student being ineligible to appear for the class 11 final exam. The same criteria also apply to class 9 students, and not meeting this requirement will prevent them from participating in the final examination.

The BSEB mentioned that the board can overlook a shortage of up to 15 percent requirements. However, students with less than 60 percent attendance will only be considered for special approval in cases of severe medical conditions like cancer, AIDS, TB, or other serious illnesses that lead to extended hospital stays.
