Bihar Police Constable Bharti 2025: Recruitment for a total of 25,847 posts in the Bihar Police and related departments, which were stalled due to the elections, is now rapidly approaching completion. The largest portion of this is for 19,838 Bihar Police Constable posts, for which the written examination has been completed and the physical test is now due. Both the CSBC and BPSSC boards have clarified that the process will proceed from December 2025. If you have applied or are preparing, this is a golden opportunity for you, as these recruitments will be finalised soon.

Bihar SI Constable Recruitment 2025: 19,838 Constable Posts in Bihar Police

This recruitment drive was announced in March 2025 and over 1.6 million candidates applied. The written examination was conducted in six shifts in July-August 2025, with approximately 1.33 million candidates participating. The results have been released, and 99,690 candidates who passed the written examination have been selected for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET/PST).

CSBC has clearly stated that the physical examination will begin in December 2025. Details of the date, time, and location will be uploaded soon on the official website, csbc.bih.nic.in. Document verification will be conducted alongside the physical examination. No separate opportunities will be provided.

Those who qualify will be directly employed. If you are among these candidates, start practicing running, high jump, and shot put now, as passing is mandatory.

4,128 posts of Jail Warder, Alcohol Prohibition, and Constable:

Applications for these posts were received from October 6th to November 5th, 2025. Scrutiny of applications is underway. This will be followed by a written examination. The good news is that among those who score at least 30 Per cent in the written examination, five times the number of candidates for the posts will be called for a physical examination.

For those under the ex-servicemen and home guard quotas, eligibility will be determined solely by the written examination, while for others, the written examination will be the qualifying criterion, and the physical examination will be the determining factor. This process will also begin soon.

What's the update on the 1,799 SI positions?

There's also good news for candidates dreaming of becoming SIs. Applications for these positions ran from September 26 to October 26, 2025. The BPSSC will soon release the full schedule for the prelims and main exams. Prelims will be held first, then the mains, followed by a physical test. This recruitment process will not be halted, as the board has clearly stated that work will accelerate after the elections. The notification could be released any day.

Recruitments in the Transport Department:

The examination for 33 Enforcement Sub-Inspector positions in the Transport Department will be held in two shifts on December 14, 2025, and e-admit cards will be available on the website from November 19. The examination for 25 Assistant Jail Superintendent positions for ex-servicemen in the Home Department (Prisons) will be held on December 7, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm.

Interviews for 24 Range Forest Officer positions in the Forest Department are scheduled from November 19 to 21, 2025, and call letters have already been uploaded on the website.
