Bihar School Holidays 2026 Schedule: The Education Department has released a new calendar for the New Year holidays in government schools across Bihar. According to this calendar, schools will have a total of 75 days of holidays. If all Sundays are subtracted from this, the remaining holidays will be 65 days. This time, the holidays have been distributed in such a way that both students and teachers get adequate time off without affecting their studies.
According to the calendar released by the Education Department, this year's summer vacation is scheduled for 20 days. The purpose of summer vacation is to provide students with relief from the intense summer heat and an opportunity to spend time with their families. Summer vacation in Bihar typically falls in the months of May and June. During this period, students can enjoy the holidays while also focusing on their studies.
The longest holiday is from Diwali to Chhath Puja. This time, the holiday will last for 10 days. Diwali and Chhath Puja are very important festivals for students and their families in Bihar. This time provides children with the opportunity to participate in family and social activities. School activities come to a halt during this long vacation, allowing students to fully enjoy the festivities.
