Bihar STET 2024: Bihar School Examination Board, Patna has released the notification of the Secondary Education Eligibility Test (STET) 2024. The link for the registration will be activated at 4:30 pm today, December 14, 2023. Candidates who wish to register for this test can do so by visiting the official website of Bihar STET at bsebstet2024.com. The last date to apply for this test is January 2, 2024.
The questions in the Bihar STET exam will be multiple-choice. One mark will be given on each question and there will be no negative marking.
Bihar STET 2024: Syllabus
The Bihar STET exam will be conducted for the subjects falling under Paper-1 (Secondary) as per the syllabus prescribed for secondary classes. Likewise, for the subjects falling under Paper-2 (Higher Secondary) as per the syllabus specified for Higher Secondary classes.
a. Paper-1 Secondary
Under Paper 1, there will be examinations for Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, Maithili, Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts, Dance and Special School Teacher.
b. Paper-2 Higher Secondary
Under this, Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, Bengali, Maithili, Magahi, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri, Pali, Prakrit, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, There will be an examination for teachers of the subjects of Home Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Agriculture and Music.
Bihar STET 2024: Age Limit
The maximum age of the candidate should be 37 years. Women and applicants from the BC and MBC categories will be offered a three-year age relaxation. Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category will get a relaxation of five years in the maximum age. Disabled candidates will get a relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age limit.
Bihar STET 2024: Paper Pattern
In Papers 1 and 2, there will be 100 questions from the given subject and 50 marks from teacher art and other competencies. That means there will be 150 questions in all.
Bihar STET 2024: Passing Marks
General – 50 percent
Backward Class – 45.5 per cent
Extremely Backward Class – 42.5 percent
SC, ST - 40 percent
Disabled – 40 percent
Women – 40 percent
Note: All the candidates who pass Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be issued STET pass certificates whose validity will be lifetime.
Bihar STET 2024: Application Fee
- Male and female candidates belonging to the General/Economically Weaker General Category/Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class will have to pay the application fee as follows.
a. Only for Paper-1 or Paper-2 – Rs 960.
b. For both Paper-1 and Paper-2 – Rs 1440.
Male and female candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and Disabled category will have to pay the fee as follows.
a. Only for Paper-1 or Paper-2 – Rs 760.
b. For both Paper-1 and Paper-2 – Rs 1140.
