Bihar TET 2024 Exam: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Saturday postponed the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024, citing unforeseen circumstances. The Bihar TET 2024 was originally planned to take place from June 26 to June 28, at different exam centers throughout the state.
The updated Bihar TET test dates will be posted later on the official website, secondary.biharboardonline.com. The board stated that the decision to delay the TET was made because two exams were scheduled on the same date. The Bihar Public Service Commission has also set exams for the recruitment of headmasters on June 28 and 29 of 2024.
Employed instructors get state employee status only after completing this test, which is necessary for teaching candidates in Bihar's elementary, intermediate, and higher secondary schools.
“Hereby, in the order of Release No. PR 238/2024, in the context of Rule 4 of Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023, teacher candidates appearing in the Competency Test of Local Body Teachers, 2024 (Second), all District Education Officers, All District Program Officers (Establishment) and all concerned are informed that the Competency Test, 2024 (Second) to be held in both the shifts from 26.06.2024 to 28.06.2024 is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. 2. The date of conduct of the said examination will be published later,” the BPSC notice read.
The delay follows recent episodes of exam paper leaks, particularly those affecting the UGCNET and NEET UG exams in 2024. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan declared the cancellation of the UGC NET due to its question paper being stolen on the darknet, a hidden portion of the internet where users are generally anonymous and transactions are frequently conducted using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
