BPSC AEDO Exam postponed: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) competitive examination. It was scheduled to be held between January 10 and January 16. The new exam date will be announced later. The BPSC issued a notice regarding the postponement, stating, "The written examination for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) under Advertisement No. 87/2025, scheduled to be held from January 10, 2026 to January 16, 2026 (excluding January 14, 2026), has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The date for the rescheduled examination will be announced on the Commission's website."

The BPSC announced the postponement of the exam via a tweet from its official account on Twitter, which is now known as X. The information is provided in the notice below:

The BPSC AEDO recruitment exam is expected to be taken by 9.7 lakh candidates. It was scheduled to be held in three phases from January 10 to 16.

9.7 lakh Applications for 935 Posts, Breakdown of posts:

In this recruitment, 374 posts are unreserved, 93 posts are reserved for the economically weaker section, 150 posts for Scheduled Castes, 10 posts for Scheduled Tribes, 168 posts for Extremely Backward Classes, 112 posts for Backward Classes, and 28 posts for women from Backward Classes. This time, a record total of 9.7 lakh applications have been received for this recruitment. This is a new record for BPSC. This is the first time such a massive response has been received for a single recruitment.

BPSC AEDO recruitment exam: Selection Process

There will be a written examination in only one stage. There will be no interview. The questions in the written examination will be objective type. There will be negative marking. One-third of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The written examination will have three subjects. The pattern of the three papers is as follows:

- General Language Part-1 General English (30 marks) Part-2 General Hindi (70 marks) 100 questions, 2 hours

-General Studies 100 marks, 100 questions - 2 hours
