BSE Odisha 2025: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has introduced enhanced security measures for the Class 10 Odisha Board Exam 2025 to prevent exam paper leaks. This decision comes in response to multiple paper leak incidents in 2024 that raised concerns about the credibility of the examination process.
Enhanced Security Features in Exam Papers
According to media reports, to safeguard the integrity of the 2025 matriculation exams, BSE Odisha will implement advanced security features on all question papers and answer sheets. These include watermarks, barcodes, and encrypted security numbers. Each paper will feature unique identifiers to enable easy tracking and prevent unauthorised handling.
Pilot Testing During OSSTET
Before rolling out these measures for the matric exams, BSE Odisha plans to test their effectiveness during the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) scheduled for January 17, 2025. According to Srikant Tarai, President of BSE Odisha, the success of the OSSTET trial will determine the final implementation of these security features in the board exams, as per the media reports.

Objective of the New Measures
The introduction of these security enhancements aims to restore trust in the examination system. After the 2024 paper leak incidents, these measures are designed to ensure a secure and transparent exam process for all students.
Odisha Class 10 Exam Schedule
The official schedule for the Odisha Class 10 exams 2025 was announced on November 14, 2024. The exams will be conducted from February 21 to March 6, 2025, with a daily time slot from 9 am to 11:30 am. Both regular and ex-regular students will appear for a single question paper in one sitting each day.
