CAT 2024 Admit Card: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will issue admit cards for the Common Admission Test, or CAT 2024 on November 5, 2024. Once the admit cards are released, applicants can obtain them from the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in.
This year's admission exam for IIMs and other business schools is November 24. According to the official notification, admit cards for CAT 2024 will be distributed on November 5. The entrance test results will be released in the second week of January.
To be eligible for the admission exam, applicants must have a bachelor's degree with 50% or higher marks, or an equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST, and PwD applicants, the minimum score is 45% or an equivalent CGPA.
Applicants who are scheduled for the final year degree test, as well as those who have already taken the degree examination and are awaiting the results, are permitted to appear provisionally.
CAT 2024: Exam pattern
The test paper for CAT 2024 will have three sections –
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and
- Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants).
The test lasts 120 minutes. Aspirants will have 40 minutes to tackle each section. They will not be able to switch between sections.
The CAT is administered for admission to postgraduate and fellow/doctorate-level business courses provided by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Several non-IIM institutes use the exams as part of their admissions procedure.
After passing the CAT exam, students must participate in additional selection procedures for admission to IIMs. The admission policies of various IIMs are available on their official websites.
