CAT 2024 Registration: The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 will be administered by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to candidates for admission to the management programs provided by the participating institutes. The CAT 2024 registration date, notification, exam date, syllabus, eligibility requirements, question paper pattern, and other details will all be announced shortly by the test convenor.
In addition to IIM, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Goa Institute of Management (GIM), the MDI Gurgaon, the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), the Institutes of Management Technology (IMTs), the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, and other b-schools will use the CAT 2024 scores for MBA admissions.
CAT Exam 2024: Eligibility criteria
The following lists the minimal requirements for eligibility to apply for the admission exam.
- Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates).
- Applicants who are waiting on results or who are in their final year of a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification exam may also apply.
- Candidates should be in their final year of a bachelor's degree with the needed percentage, or they should have finished a professional degree like a CA, CS, ICWA, or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with the necessary number of marks.
CAT Exam Date 2024
Details on the CAT exam date in 2024, the number of sessions, the reservation policy, the registration cost, the registration deadline, and the test locations will all be included in the notification. The information bulletin will provide the 2024 CAT syllabus.
The CAT exam was administered by IIM Lucknow in three sessions on November 26 of last year. Eighty-seven per cent of the applicants took the test. 2.88 lakh pupils took the test out of about 3.28 lakh who had registered for it.
What is a CAT exam?
Every year, the CAT exam is held to evaluate students' knowledge in preparation for admission to management programs provided by the nation's participating institutions. Through CAT, students are admitted to a total of 20 IIMs for their associate programs, PhD programs, and Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). CAT results are also used by non-IIMs for their MBA programs. The test is administered via computer-based testing or CBT.
