CAT 2024: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will open registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today, August 1. Those who qualify can fill out the CAT 2024 registration form by going to the official website of CAT at iimcat.ac.in. Applicants should submit the CAT 2024 application form by September 13.
According to the timetable, the CAT 2024 exam will be conducted on November 24. The exam will be administered in three shifts: 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. On November 4, the institute will issue the CAT 2024 admission card.
The CAT is a national-level entrance exam in India for admission to postgraduate management programs such as the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The exam is administered annually by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotating basis.
CAT 2024: Application fees

- General: Rs 2,500
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Rs 2,500
- Scheduled Caste (SC): Rs 1,250
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): Rs 1,250
- Person with Disabilities (PwD): Rs 1,250
CAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria

- Students having a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a CGPA of at least 50% (45% for SC, ST, and PwD/DA categories) are eligible to take the CAT exam in 2024.
- Duration and manner of study: The degree must be a three-year program that can be done online, through distance learning, or in person.
- Students in their final year: You can apply for the CAT exam 2024 if you are a final-year student or are waiting for your degree results.
- Professional degrees from ICWA, FCAI, CS, CA, and other programs are also recognized.
- Work experience: Both recent graduates and employed professionals are eligible to take the CAT exam. Work experience is preferred throughout the admissions process after the CAT exam, even if it is not necessary.
