Q. When did you commence your CAT 2023 preparation? What's the recommended duration for completing the CAT syllabus before the exam?

Ans) I started my preparation six months before the exam. The recommended duration is at least 6-8 months of dedicated preparation.

Q. Did you have any weak sections? How did you overcome these challenges, and what strategies did you use to excel in those areas?

Ans) VARC section was my weaker point, I consistently prepared it for six months and excelled.

Q. How can candidates avoid negative markings in the exam?

Ans) Do a lot of practice and try to get more accuracy within the time frame and this 6 months preparation will already take away the negative marking effect.

Q. What role did Mocks play in your success? How many mock tests did you attempt before the exam?

Ans) Mocks are very important as they help you strategize how to attempt and make the most of the time. I attempted around 25 full-length mocks and 70-80 sectionals.

Q. Did any specific books or study materials give you an advantage over other candidates?

Ans) I used material provided by Supergrads by Toprankers. Their section-wise theory was to the point and helped me revise quickly before the exam. The practice questions discussed in class, the assignments, practice sheets, and SuperCATs (full-length test series), were highly exam-oriented and contributed greatly to my preparation.
