The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE on Friday released the date notice for CBSE Board Exam 2024. According to the CBSE, the Class 10, 12 board examination in 2024 will be conducted from February 15 to April 10, 2023. The official notice can be downloaded by candidates through the official site of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.

The Class 10, 12 examinations will be conducted for a period of approximately 55 days. The Board has requested all the organizations to fi the dates of their examinations keeping in view the above-said schedule of Board examinations.

“CBSE will conduct Board examinations for the academic year 2023-24 for classes 10 and 12 from the 15th of February 2023 onwards. These examinations will be conducted for a period of approximately 55 days and are expected to conclude by the 10th of April 2024," reads the official notice.

CBSE New Assessment Criteria:

CBSE has revised evaluation and assessment criteria for the year-end or the board examinations for classes 9 to 12. In the academic session 2022-23, the year-end exam paper of class 9th and the 10th board exam paper comprised 40 per cent competency-based questions while the proportion of competency-based questions in class 11 of the final exam papers and 12th board exam papers was 30 per cent which has been now increased for all the classes.

According to the latest pattern, In the year-end examination or the final exams of Class 9 and the Class 10th board exams, 50 per cent of the question in the exam paper will be competency bases questions which will comprise Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), Case-Based Questions, Source Based Integrated Questions or any other type. 20 per cent of questions in the class 10th board question paper or class 9th final exam paper will be objective type while the remaining 30 per cent will be short answer/ long Answer questions.
