CBSE Class 10th Sample Paper 2024-25 English: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in December announced the schedule for the CBSE Board Exams 2025. The date sheet was released well in advance — 86 days before the commencement of exams — providing students with ample time to prepare. As per the schedule, the CBSE Class 10 Board Exams will begin on February 15, 2025, and will continue until March 18, 2025. Similarly, the Class 12 Board Exams will also start on February 15, 2025, but will extend until April 4, 2025.

As the exams approach, students must utilise the sample paper to prepare thoroughly. Earlier last month, the CBSE released the sample paper for the Class 10 English Language and Literature examination. This sample paper provides students with a comprehensive overview of the exam pattern, question types, and marking scheme, serving as a crucial tool for effective preparation.

CBSE Class 10 English Exam Structure and Content:

The English Language and Literature exam is divided into three sections:

1. Section A: Reading Skills (20 marks):

- This section assesses students' ability to comprehend and interpret unseen passages.

2. Section B: Grammar and Creative Writing Skills (20 marks)

- Grammar: Questions evaluating grammatical concepts and usage.

- Creative Writing: Tasks such as formal letter writing and analytical paragraph writing based on given prompts.

3. Section C: Literature Textbook (40 marks)

- Questions based on the prescribed literature, including extracts for reference, short answer questions, and long answer questions focusing on themes, plots, and character analyses.

The duration of each exam will vary between two to three hours.
