The exam was conducted today from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and soon after, students and subject experts shared their insights regarding the difficulty level and overall paper structure.
The Accountancy paper is a crucial part of the Commerce stream, testing students’ understanding of financial concepts and business transactions.
Students Feedback On CBSE Class 12 Accountancy Paper 2025:
Many students expressed a sense of relief post-exam, mentioning that while some sections were tricky, overall, the paper was manageable. The cash-flow-based and case-study questions posed challenges for several students, requiring in-depth understanding and analysis. On the other hand, multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and theory-based questions were found to be relatively straightforward. Students who had practiced previous years’ question papers found time management crucial in successfully attempting the paper.
Expert and Teacher Analysis:
Educators and subject experts described the Accountancy paper as well-structured and conceptually balanced. The exam tested students' understanding with a good mix of theoretical and application-based questions, ensuring that mere memorization would not suffice for high scores.
Ankur Agrawal, PGT Commerce at JAIN International Residential School (JIRS), Bengaluru, remarked, "The Accountancy final question paper was moderate and comprehensive, offering a well-balanced mix of theoretical and application-based questions. It effectively tested students' conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. The paper adhered strictly to the NCERT syllabus, covering crucial topics such as Types of Debentures, Partnership Act, and Issue of Shares."
He further highlighted the introduction of a new six-mark question format in ‘Issue of Shares,’ which allowed students to demonstrate their analytical and synthesis skills. The structure of the paper was clear and concise, with adequate options in each section, ensuring that students had the opportunity to showcase their reasoning and conceptual clarity.
Exam Structure and Marking Scheme:
The CBSE Class 12 Accountancy exam was divided into two sections: Part A (mandatory for all students) and Part B (offering two choices - Analysis of Financial Statements or Computerized Accounting). The distribution of marks was as follows:
Question Numbers | Marks per Question | Total Questions |
1 to 16, 27 to 30 | 1 Mark Each | 20 |

21, 22, 33 | 4 Marks Each | 3 |

There was no overall choice, but students were provided with internal choices in select questions, offering flexibility in their responses.
