Chhath Puja 2024: The last three months of the year October, November, and December usher in the festive season, with celebrations spanning from Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri to Diwali and Christmas. This festive period is especially enjoyable for school students, as most educational institutions declare holidays for various festivals. In November, multiple holidays have been announced, including a break for Diwali. Besides Diwali, states have also declared holidays for Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj, and Chhath Puja. This year, Chhath Puja will be observed on November 7, with Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, and several other states marking the occasion with a holiday. Delhi Schools Holidays
The Delhi government has announced a school holiday on November 7, 2024, in observance of Chhath Puja. According to media reports, Delhi CM Atishi has directed the Chief Secretary to issue an official notification regarding the holiday. According to the notification, Chhath Puja holds significant cultural importance for the people of the NCT of Delhi, prompting the government to designate November 7 as a public holiday for the occasion.
Bihar Schools Holiday
The Bihar government has announced a four-day school holiday in celebration of the Chhat Puja 2024 festival. According to media reports, schools will be closed from November 6 to November 9.
Uttar Pradesh Schools Holidays
According to media reports, most schools are expected to remain closed on November 7 in observance of the Chhath Puja festival. However, there has been no official announcement from the Uttar Pradesh state government regarding a school holiday for that day.
Jharkhand Schools Holidays
According to media reports, some schools in the state are likely to close for the Chhath Puja festival. However, there has been no official announcement regarding school holidays related to the festival.
