CTET December 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has altered the exam timetable for the CTET in December 2024. According to the official notification, the exam will now be conducted on December 14. CTET was just planned for December 15, but the exam was originally slated for December 1, 2024. The exam date has been changed to December 14 to prevent conflict with the exam set for December 15, 2024.
The deadline to submit online applications is October 16, 2024. The forms must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the latest date. The deadline to submit the fee is October 16, 2024.
An official notification by CTET reads, "Now, as per the information received from various candidates, few competitive examinations are scheduled to be held in some states/union territories on 15 December 2024 (Sunday). Hence, keeping in view the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on 14th December 2024 (Saturday). In case number of candidates is more in any city, the exam may also be conducted on 15th December, 2024 (Sunday)."

Applicants from the General/OBC (NCL) category are to pay Rs 1000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both papers. Candidates from the SC/ST/Differently Abled category will be charged Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.
CTET questions will be multiple choice (MCQs), with four possibilities, one of which will be the most suitable. There will be no negative grading, and each question will be worth one mark.
CTET will consist of two papers:
(i) Paper I will be for applicants who want to be teachers for grades 1–5.
(ii) Paper 2 will be for people who want to be teachers in grades 6–8.
How to register for the CTET 2024 exam?
Step 1: Visit the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “Apply Online” link.'
Step 3: Now, fill out the online application form and note down registration No./application No.
Step 4: Next, upload the latest scanned photograph and signature and then make the payment.
Step 5: Download the confirmation page and take a printout of the same for further reference.
