According to the NTA,  "To minimise the procedural difficulties faced by candidates while filling out the online application form for CUET (UG)-2026, the National Testing Agency issued a public notice on December 4, 2025. The main objective of issuing this notice was to assist millions of candidates across the country in updating their information accurately and on time. The NTA will obtain the candidate's name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address through Aadhaar authentication from UIDAI (for updating information in Aadhaar, please follow UIDAI guidelines).

However, since the father's/mother's/guardian's name, etc., is not recorded in Aadhaar, candidates will have to fill in these details separately in the online application form.
