CUET UG Exam 2024: The exam dates for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG are likely to be revised based on the Lok Sabha election schedule, according to UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar. India is preparing for the upcoming general elections to elect its 18th Lok Sabha, with the schedule expected to be announced this month.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced that the CUET UG exam would be held from May 15 to 31 and the results will be issued on June 30.

"The dates announced by the NTA are tentative. Once the election dates are announced, the NTA will finalise the CUET-UG dates. The tentative schedule is from May 15," said UGC Chairman, as quoted by news agency PTI on Sunday.

The CUET UG registration process is underway. The application window opened on February 27 and will close on March 26, 2024. The CUET (UG) offers a unified opportunity for students aiming for admission into any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating institutions (including State Universities, Deemed Universities, and Private Universities) nationwide.

In a notable change, the NTA has revealed that the examination will be administered in a hybrid mode, enclosing both Computer Based Test for a few subjects and a pen-and-paper mode for others. Officials clarified that subjects with a high volume of registrations will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode using optical mark recognition (OMR) format, while others will remain computer-based, as per the media reports.

CUET UG 2024 will be administered in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
