Delhi Nursery Admissions 2025: The first list of selected candidates for nursery to class 1 admissions in Delhi for the 2025-26 academic session will be released on January 17, 2025. Parents can check the details on the official website, edudel.nic.in.  

Reserved Categories and Seat Allocation

A separate list will be issued for students under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and children with disabilities. These groups have a 25 per cent reservation in private school seats.

Admission Timeline and Query Resolution

- First List: January 17, 2025
- Query Resolution Window: January 18–27, 2025
- Second List (if needed): February 3, 2025
- Query Resolution for Second List: February 5–11, 2025

Parents of shortlisted students must follow the admission guidelines provided by their respective schools after the first list is published. Regular updates and detailed instructions will be available on the official website of the Delhi Education Department.

This year saw a significant rise in applications for nursery admissions, with the applicant-to-seat ratio reaching approximately 10:1. To ensure a fair process, the Directorate of Education (DoE) evaluates candidates based on marks/points and a lottery system.

Parents are advised to stay informed about the admission process and adhere to deadlines to secure their child’s admission.
