Delhi Nursery Admissions 2026: Delhi Education Department will begin the application process for Nursery, KG and Class 1 admissions for the 2026-27 academic year from today, December 4, 2025. Applications are open until December 27, 2025. Parents who wish to participate in the admission round must visit the school to submit the application form.
Documents Required for Application Process
Parents, when filling out the online application form, must make sure they have the following documents ready with them
-Valid Birth Certificate
-Passport-sized photographs of the child and parents
-Proof of residence
Note: Proof of residence for admission can be established using a Ration Card/Smart Card (in parents' name showing the child), Domicile Certificate of the child or parents, Voter I-Card, or utility bills (Electricity/Water/MTNL) or Passport/Aadhaar in the name of the child or parents.

Delhi Nursery Admissions 2026: Eligibility Criteria
The following is the Age Limit prescribed for admissions. Parents must make sure they check the eligibility criteria before submitting the applications.

Nursery (Balvatika 1/ Pre School 1) | 3+ years up to 4 years |
KG | 4+ years up to 5 years |
Class I | 5+ years up to 6 years |
Nursery, KG and Class 1 Admissions: Steps to Apply
Applications may be submitted online through school websites or via offline forms, depending on individual school policies.
Here is how parents can register for admissions online:
Step 1: Visit the school’s official website or obtain the form from the school.
Step 2: Enter all required details and upload/attach the specified documents.
Step 3: Pay the registration fee of Rs 25, as permitted by DoE.
Step 4: Save or print the acknowledgement receipt for verification during admission.
Note: Children already enrolled in Nursery or KG in 2025-26 will automatically progress to the next level. Only fresh applicants falling within the age bracket are eligible for new Nursery admissions.
