DU UG First Allocation List 2025: Delhi University is all set to release its first undergraduate seat allocation list for the 2025 academic session today at 5 PM. The list will be available on the official DU admission portal.
Candidates who receive a seat will have until July 21 to confirm their acceptance. The process is part of the CSAS UG 2025 system, which includes CUET-based counselling and course preference submissions.
Record-Breaking Number of Applications:
This year, DU witnessed the highest number of applications ever. Students are competing for 71,642 seats offered across 79 programmes in 69 colleges and various departments.
Among the courses, BCom (Hons) topped the list with over 19.9 lakh preferences, followed by BCom, BA (Hons) English, and BA (Hons) Political Science.
ECA and Sports Trials in Full Swing
DU also began its Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) admission trials on July 18, which will continue till July 26. Categories include music, debate, digital media, yoga, and theatre.
Sports trials are expected to start on July 25. Admissions under ECA, Sports, CW (Children/Widows of Armed Forces), and performance-based quotas will begin from the third round of seat allotments.
Top Colleges in Demand:
SRCC (Shri Ram College of Commercereceived the highest number of first-preference entries (38,795), followed by Hindu College (31,901) and Hansraj College (15,902). Popular BA programme combinations included History + Political Science and Economics + Political Science.
Students have largely preferred humanities, making up 58.89% of all course selections, followed by commerce (20.89%) and science (20.22%).
