Tallest Mountains in the World: Mountains have always attracted people with their grandeur and cinematic views. There are various people who dream of conquering the highest mountain peaks in the world, while others simply want to enjoy the stunning visuals and views. Here, we bring to you the top 10 tallest mountain ranges to climb in the world in 2025.

1. Mount Everest (Nepal/China): Mount Everest (or Chomolungma) is the tallest mountain peak in the world. It’s the undisputed king of mountains, reaching an outstanding height of 29,029 feet (8,848 meters). Hundreds of desperate people try to climb this mountain peak every year.
2. K2 (Pakistan/China): K2, or Chegori, is the second highest mountain peak in the world. This mountain is popularly known as ‘The Savage Mountain.’ This peak is famous for its technically difficult routes and harsh weather conditions, making it one of the dangerous mountain ranges.
3. Kangchenjunga (India/Nepal): Kanchenjunga mountain peak is located on the border between Nepal and India and has an impressive height of 28,169 feet (8,586 meters). Its name translates as ‘Five Treasures of the Great Snow’ which shows its connection with five peaks.
4. Lhotse (Nepal/China): Lhotse is located just a few kilometers away from Mount Everest. It has an outstanding height of 27,940 feet (8,516 meters). This is one of the most challenging mountains to climb and a stunning view from the top of the mountain range.
5. Makalu (Nepal/China): Makala is also a neighbor of Mount Everest and is located only 19 km from Everest but this mountain peak is not that popular because of technical hurdles and difficult access. It heightened at 27,838 feet (8,481 meters), popularly known as ‘The Big Giant.’
6. Cho Oyu (Nepal/China): Cho Oyu is popularly known as the ‘Turquoise Goddess’ and is located on the border of Nepal and Tibet. This mountain is considered as one of the easiest peaks to climb because of its relatively stable weather and stands tall at 26,864 feet (8,201 meters).
7. Dhaulagiri I (Nepal): Dhaulagiri means ‘White Mountain’ in Sanskrit, is located in central Nepal. With an excellent height of 26,795 feet (8,167 meters), a stunning view of the beautiful weather and one of the most picturesque peaks in the Himalayas to climb is this.
8. Manaslu (Nepal): This mountain is called ‘Mountain of the Spirit’ and stands tall at 26,763 feet (8,163 meters). It is considered as the most dangerous peak to climb because of its high avalanche risk , it is best for those individuals who want authentic mountaineering experience.
9. Nanga Parbat (Pakistan): Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain peak in the world, located in Pakistan. This mountain has extremely difficult weather conditions to climb, making it one of the toughest. This mountain has a popular nickname of ‘Killer Mountain.’
10. Annapurna I (Nepal): Annapurna I is the tenth highest mountain but its mortality rate among climbers is higher than that of Mount Everest. It was the first mountain peak above 8,000 meters to be conquered by man. It has an impressive height of 26,545 feet (8,091 meters).
