GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will close the regular application period for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today, October 3. Eligible applicants can sign up for the GATE 2025 exam without paying a late fee via the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
The GATE 2025 exam is scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16. Female applicants, as well as those from the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disabilities (PwD) categories, will be forced to pay Rs 900 for each test paper. All other applicants, including overseas nationals, must pay Rs 1,800 for each test paper.
According to the timetable, the institute will finish the GATE 2025 registration procedure with a late charge on October 7. During this prolonged registration period, female candidates and those from the SC, ST, and PwD categories must pay Rs 1,400 per exam paper. All other applicants, including international nationals, will have to pay Rs 2,300 for each test paper.

A legitimate GATE score can be used to apply for master's and doctorate programs in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities, as well as doctoral programs in relevant engineering fields.
The institute said that GRID-INDIA, a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), will use the GATE 2025 results for the Electrical Engineering (EE) test papers for employment. The Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) at IIT Kanpur will also admit Master of Technology (MTech) candidates via the GATE 2025 test.
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will recruit based on the GATE 2025 results for Civil Engineering (CE), Chemical Engineering (CH), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Mechanical Engineering (ME) test papers.
