GATE 2025 Result: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will open registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 on August 24. The institute has posted the GATE 2025 poster on its official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, which includes the exam date, registration dates, application cost, test papers, and result date.
According to the poster, the GATE 2025 results will be announced on March 19, 2025. The IIT will hold the exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, for admission to master's programs provided by IITs and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.
According to the eligibility criteria, a student who is presently in the third or final year of an undergraduate degree program or has finished a government-approved degree program in engineering, technology, architecture, science, business, arts, or humanities is eligible to apply.
The GATE 2025 registration deadline is September 26 without a late charge and October 7 with a late fee. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and female categories would be required to pay an application fee of Rs 900. All other aspirants would be required to pay Rs 1,800.
The exam will have a total of 30 test papers. Applicants will have the option of selecting two papers from the approved list of combinations. The GATE 2025 exam pattern specifies that each paper will last three hours. The exam will be administered by computer or online.
“GATE 2025 examination will be conducted at specific centres in selected cities and towns in India as listed on GATE 2025 website. GATE 2025 score will remain valid for three years from the date of announcement of results,” the poster read.
“Additional two-paper combinations may be introduced at a later date, contingent upon the availability of infrastructure and scheduling feasibility,” the poster added.
