RTE Gujarat Admissions 2026-27: The Government of Gujarat has initiated the RTE admission process for 2026 for free seats in Class 1 at private schools. Parents can apply online from April 4 to April 17. Over 84,000 seats are available across various mediums of instruction. New priority rules now accord greater benefits to reserved categories, and parents also have the option to select a school shift.

The objective of this initiative is to ensure access to education for children from economically weaker and middle-income families. Applicants are required to submit the necessary documents before the stipulated deadline, following which the seat allocation will take place.

RTE Gujarat Admission 2026: Documents Required for Application

To complete the RTE Gujarat 2026 application form, parents must upload valid documents. The list of documents required for RTE Gujarat includes the following:

- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate)

- Proof of Residence (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, or Voter ID)

- Caste or Category Certificate (if applicable)

- Income Certificate (Valid as of April 1, 2023)

- Income Tax Return documents (if applicable) or Self-Declaration

Note: Registered Rent Agreements will be accepted only if no other proof of residence is available. Rent agreements attested by a notary will not be considered.
