JE Education Desk: Today's scheduled Haryana CET Mains exam has been rescheduled. CET Phase 2 exam, planned for August 5 (morning session), has been postponed by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). With only a few hours until the exam on August 4, the decision to postpone it was made late that evening. Following the state government's appeal against the single bench's judgment, the Punjab-Haryana High Court mandated a postponement of the exam.
The state government was instructed by a single division bench of the High Court to revoke the current HSSC CET merit list and create a fresh merit list. Before administering the Mains exam, HSSC is required by the single division bench to conduct document verification.
The verdict has been contested by the Haryana government before the court's double bench. The government demanded an immediate hearing after the application was submitted very late at night.
