Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched the Takniki Rozgar Setu portal in Shimla to connect students, technical institutes and employers through a single digital platform. Developed by the Technical Education Department, the portal aims to simplify skill mapping, placements and recruitment while improving employment opportunities for skilled youth across the state.
The portal enables students to create professional profiles, upload qualifications and training certificates, apply for jobs online and monitor their application status. Employers can post vacancies, shortlist candidates and update recruitment outcomes, while educational institutions can manage student records and placement data through the integrated platform.

Key Features Of Takniki Rozgar Setu Portal
The portal provides a common digital platform where students can showcase their skills and qualifications while accessing employment opportunities.
Employers can directly connect with eligible candidates, publish job openings and streamline the hiring process.
Technical institutions can verify student profiles, maintain placement records and strengthen industry collaboration.
Registration Numbers And Industry Participation
According to the state government, 164 institutions have already registered on the portal, including 136 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), 18 Polytechnic colleges, five Engineering colleges and five Pharmacy colleges.
A total of 26,168 students have registered through the Him Access Integration portal, while 23,054 students have completed their skill mapping. Additionally, 97 employers have joined the platform.
Government's Vision For Employment
The state government said the portal is designed to strengthen the link between education and industry while creating more employment opportunities for skilled youth.
Besides regular recruitment, the platform also allows citizens to hire skilled professionals such as electricians and plumbers for short-term work.
The government believes the initiative will improve governance through technology and help establish Himachal Pradesh as a hub for skilled human resources.
