ICAI CAI Exams Postponed in Kathmandu: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate exams that were scheduled to be held on September 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2025 in Kathmandu, Nepal. This decision was taken by the ICAI to ensure the safety of all students amid the ongoing protest in Nepal and social media ban.
In an official notification, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) mentioned that the CA Examinations scheduled for September 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 will no longer be conducted as scheduled in Kathmandu because of the protests and chaos currently ongoing in the country. The ICAI also stated that updated dates for the CA Examination will be released when the situation becomes peaceful.
The Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has also mentioned that the examinations have been postponed for those students who were registered to appear for the Chartered Accountancy examination in Nepal's Kathmandu examination centres. Examinations in all other cities and countries will be conducted as per the schedule announced earlier in May. The decision comes because of the backdrop of the ongoing ‘Gen Z protests’ in Nepal, following the government’s move to ban 26 social media platforms.
The Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India postponed CA Final, Intermediate exams 2025 in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala and Jammu City due to heavy rains, flood-like conditions and severe weather conditions.
The students are advised to keep a close check on the official website of the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India at www.icai.org, for latest updates on the revised schedule for the examination.
