ICAR JRF, SRF (PhD) Counselling 2024: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research has postponed the ICAR JRF/SRF (PhD) counselling for the current academic year (2024-25). The exams will now take place along with the counselling for postgraduate programs in the veterinary stream during January/February 2025. Moreover, the cutoff date for completing degrees/PDCs for all postgraduate programs has been extended to January 15, 2025.
"It is for the information of all that the ongoing ICAR JRF/SRF (PhD) counseling for current academic year (2024-25) has been withheld and will be held along with the counseling for PG programs of veterinary stream during January/ February, 2025. Further, the cutoff date for completion of degree/ PDC of all PG programs has been extended to 15.01.2025. However, the counseling for PG programs (other than Veterinary stream) will be held as per schedule. This is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority," reads the notification.

Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has announced the launch of SATHEE ICAR, aimed at students preparing for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) UG entrance exams. This initiative, undertaken by IIT Kanpur and the Ministry of Education, aims to provide free exam preparation resources to students across India.
According to the press release, SATHEE ICAR offers students access to recorded lectures by IIT professors, live interactive classes with experts, a library of topic-based practice questions, and AI-driven analytics that highlight areas for improvement while providing personalised study plans. Students can also take mock tests to boost their performance. Candidates can register at icar.iitk.ac.in.
