Indian Navy BTech Entry: The Indian Navy has opened applications for its 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme, offering 44 Permanent Commission Officer roles for unmarried men and women. Eligibility require JEE (Main) 2025 scores and specific academic criteria, with training at the Indian Naval Academy.

The Indian Navy is seeking bright, unmarried young men and women for its prestigious 10+2 (B Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme. This program leads to Permanent Commission (PC) as officers in both Executive and Technical branches after a comprehensive four-year BTech course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. The application window is open from June 30 to July 14, 2025.

Vacancies and Eligibility Criteria:

A total of 44 vacancies are available for this intake, specifically including a maximum of six positions reserved for women candidates, promoting diversity within the force.

Applicants must fall within a precise age bracket, born between July 2, 2006, and January 1, 2009 (inclusive of both dates).

The allocation of branches, whether Executive or Technical (Engineering & Electrical), will be determined during the training period at INA.

Educational and Examination Requirements:

To be considered, candidates must have successfully completed their Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.

A crucial academic requirement is a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), alongside at least 50% marks in English, which can be from either Class 10 or 12. Crucially, only candidates who appeared for JEE (Main) 2025 for B.E./B.Tech are eligible to apply.

Shortlisting for the highly competitive Service Selection Board (SSB) interview will be solely based on the JEE Main 2025 All India Common Rank List (CRL) released by NTA. This ensures that only candidates with strong academic aptitude and performance in a national-level examination are considered for the next stage of selection. The SSB interviews are scheduled to commence from September 2025 at various centers across India, including Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam.

The final merit list will be exclusively based on the scores achieved during the SSB interviews. Only candidates deemed medically fit after a thorough examination will be considered for final appointment. This appointment is also contingent upon successful verification processes and the availability of declared vacancies.

Selected candidates will embark on a transformative four-year BTech degree program at the Indian Naval Academy. They will specialize in fields such as Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering, with the degree awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). A significant benefit is that the Indian Navy will fully cover all training costs, including study materials, clothing, and food, alleviating any financial burden on the cadets.

The application process requires eligible candidates to register and submit their forms online via the official website. It is imperative to have scanned copies of all necessary documents, including 10th and 12th marksheets, the JEE (Main) 2025 scorecard, and a recent passport-size photograph, ready for upload. Only a single application per candidate is permitted, and no modifications will be allowed once submitted. A strict condition mandates that
