JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Dates Out: IIT Roorkee has announced the official exam dates for the JEE Advanced exam 2026. The exam will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at designated exam centres. JEE Advanced is a national-level engineering entrance test required for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country.
It will have two compulsory papers on the same day. Candidates have to appear for both papers and secure a merit rank for admission to IITs.

JEE Advanced 2026 registration will start from April 23, 2026, at the official website at jeeadv.ac.in. The deadline to submit the application form is May 2, 2026.

JEE Advanced 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the JEE Advanced exam 2026, scheduled for May 17, 2026, must meet the following eligibility criteria.
1. Only candidates who ranked among the top 2,50,000 in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 (BE/BTech) are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced, irrespective of their categories.
2. Candidates can take a maximum of two attempts in the JEE Advanced exam. These attempts must be in two consecutive years.
3. Those who have given the Class 12 or equivalent exams in 2025 or 2026 and have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.
4. Aspirants who have been previously admitted to any IIT will not be able to register for the JEE Advanced exam.
