JKSET, LASET 2024: The University of Jammu has postponed the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) 2024 and Ladakh State Eligibility Test (LASET) 2024 because of the 'Kashmir Marathon-2024' in Srinagar. The university will soon release the amended exam dates for the JKSET 2024 and LASET 2024 exams on its official website, jujkset.in.
The exam was originally planned for October 20, 2024. Applicants were able to apply for JKSET 2024 and LASET 2024 without paying a late fee from June 11 to July 20, with the deadline for late fee submissions set at July 25, 2024. The adjustment window was open from July 29 to 31, 2024.
“The JKSET Agency, University of Jammu is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to postpone the date of JKSET/LASET Examination – 2024 citing ‘Kashmir Marathon-2024’ in Srinagar and popular Festival/Fast ‘Karva Chauth’ falling on the same date and other reasons,” the official notice read.
JKSET 2024: Exam pattern
The examination format for JKSET and LASET 2024 will be the same as that used for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) administered by the National Testing Agency. The exam will have two papers for each subject, paper 1 and paper 2. Applicants must appear in both papers. Those who do not present in Paper I will be unable to take Paper II.
