JNVST Admission 2025: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started the registration process for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNCST) 2025 today, July 17. Students who qualify can apply for admission to Class 6 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya through the official website, cbseitms.rcil.gov.in, for the academic year 2025-26.
The deadline to complete the JNVST application form 2025 is September 16. According to the NVS official proposal, the JNVST 2025 exam will take place in several states between January 18 and April 12, 2025.
JNVST Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, students can review the eligibility requirements for the JNVST exam 2025.
- Age Limit: Students must be born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015, inclusive, to be considered for admission.
- Applicants who have successfully passed class 5 before the session 2024-25 or are repeaters are not allowed to apply for this examination.

For Rural Candidates
- At least 75% of district seats will be filled by rural candidates, with the remainder open to both urban and rural applicants on merit.
- Candidates applying for the rural quota must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 at government or recognized rural schools. They must also have finished Class 5 in the same district as the admission application.
- Aspirants from the National Institute of Open Schooling must present a rural status certificate given by local authorities, certifying three years of residency and study in rural areas.
For Urban Candidates
- A candidate who has attended school in an urban region, even for one day during the sessions of Classes 3, 4, and 5, shall be classified as an urban candidate.
JNVST Admission 2025: Exam Pattern
The JNVST selection test will last two hours, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and consist of three portions with exclusively objective-type questions. There are 80 questions with a total score of 100.
