JoSAA counselling 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025 has announced that today, June 18, is the final deadline for completing online reporting, seat acceptance fee payment, and document verification for Round 1 counselling. Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete all required steps by 5 PM to retain their seat or be considered for upgrades in the following rounds.
Candidates choosing the float or slide options while accepting their Round 1 seat will remain eligible for Round 2 allotments, allowing them to upgrade based on their preferences and availability. Even if a candidate is aiming for a better seat in future rounds, they must pay the acceptance fee in this round to continue in the process.
Fee Payment & Document Verification:
JoSAA has clarified that candidates who attempted payment before the deadline but faced technical issues need not worry. The NTA will resolve all such payment-related issues by June 19. Additionally, any queries raised by the document verification officers must be addressed by 5 PM on June 20 through the official JoSAA login portal.
It is also advised that candidates retain copies of all submitted documents and payment receipts for future reference, as these may be required during physical reporting at institutes.
What’s Next in Round 2?
The Round 2 seat allotment results will be declared on Saturday, June 21 by 5 PM. On the same day, online reporting for Round 2 will begin, including seat acceptance fee payment, document uploads, and query responses.
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 must complete these formalities by June 25, 5 PM, to avoid cancellation of their seat allotment.
JoSAA 2025 Round 1 closes today at 5 PM for seat acceptance and document verification. Payment issues will be resolved by June 19. Round 2 allotment results and reporting begin on June 21. Candidates must complete all actions to remain in the counselling process.
