Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2026-27: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has issued detailed instructions regarding new admissions for the academic session 2026-27. The registration process for Balvatika-1 to 3 and for Class 1, wherever applicable, will commence on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM via the online portal; this serves as a continuation of the process followed in previous years.

The deadline for online registration is April 2, 2026. For Class II and classes beyond, admissions will be conducted exclusively through the offline mode, in accordance with the 'Admission Schedule 2026-27' and subject to the availability of seats. These instructions have been issued in both Hindi and English.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2026-27: Steps To Apply

Step-by-step instructions are provided below.

Step 1: First, visit the official KV Admission website and click on 'New Registration' to initiate the process.

Step 2: Next, carefully read the instructions and accept the Declaration to proceed to the registration form.

Step 3: Then, fill in your basic details, such as the child's name, date of birth, parents' information, mobile number, and email ID.

Step 4: Subsequently, verify your mobile number using the OTP and save the login credentials displayed on the screen.

Step 5: After registration, you can log in using your credentials to access the application form.

Step 6: Fill in all personal and academic details step-by-step, ensuring that no section is left blank.

Step 7: Select up to three Kendriya Vidyalayas based on your preferences and location.

Step 8: You may then proceed to upload your required documents, such as a photograph and birth certificate, in the specified format.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2026-27: Eligibility Criteria

For admission to Class I, the minimum age must be 6 years as of March 31, 2026. Admission will be conducted in accordance with the KVS Admission Guidelines 2026-27, which also include reservation criteria.

For admission to Balvatika, the age criteria as of March 31, 2026, are as follows: 3 to 4 years for Balvatika-1, 4 to 5 years for Balvatika-2, and 5 to 6 years for Balvatika-3. In KVs where Balvatika-3 is operational, students will be granted direct admission to Class I.
