KVS Class 1-12 Admission Schedule 2024 Released; Registration Starts On April 1

KVS Class 1-12 Admission Schedule 2024: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has issued the complete schedule for admission to Classes 1 through 11 for the academic year 2024-25. The KVS Class 1 entrance registration procedure will commence on April 1, as previously announced.

The KVS has created a new admissions platform for 1,254 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools. The KV Class 11 admission registration period will begin 10 days after the Class 10 board exam results are released, according to the statement.

All newly opened Kendriya Vidyalayas until February 2024 has been required to hold Class 1 admissions online via the OLA portal and all other classes offline.

“List of children registered, list of eligible children, category-wise list of provisionally selected children, waiting list and subsequent lists to be compulsorily displayed on the website of the Kendriya Vidyalayas concerned, in addition to display on School’s Notice Board,” it said.

“The schedule for Class 2 admission onwards will not be binding for them as full strength 32 is to be admitted. Consequent upon the change in the minimum and maximum age for admission, introduced for Class I in the session 2022–23, progressive change in the age limit for the appropriate classes will be continued to be reflected in future too,” KVS added.

KVS Admission 2024: Age limit

- Class 1: A child must be 6 years old as of March 31 to be recognized as eligible for Class 1 entrance. The maximum age to apply for admission to Class 1 is eight years. Furthermore, it said that Children with Special Needs (CwSN) will receive a two-year age relaxation.

- Class 11 and 12: A child must be 6 years old as of March 31 to be recognized as eligible for Class 1 entrance. The maximum age to apply for admission to Class 1 is eight years. Furthermore, it said that Children with Special Needs (CwSN) will receive a two-year age relaxation.

There is no age limit for entrance to Class 11, as long as the student passes the Class 10 board test. Likewise, there will be no higher or lower age limits for Class 12 enrollment, as long as there is no gap in studies after graduating from Class 11.
