Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025: The Maharashtra school education department has started the registration process for Right to Education (RTE) admissions 2025 for 25 per cent reserved seats today, January 14. The last date to fill out the application form will be January 27, 2025. Students can fill out the Maharashtra RTE application form at student.maharashtra.gov.in.
“For the year 2025-26, under Section 12(C)(1) of the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, children from weaker and disadvantaged sections will be provided 25% reservations in self-financed schools, unaided schools, police welfare schools (unaided), and municipal schools (self-financed),” reads the notification.
Parents are required to accurately complete their child's online form, providing details such as the home address, date of birth, income certificate, and disability or caste certificate (if applicable).

Maharashtra RTE Admission 2025: Important Guidelines
Children whose parents have an annual income of less than Rs 1 lakh qualify as part of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and are eligible to apply under the RTE quota.
- School Selection:
Parents must carefully choose up to 10 schools for their child during the application process. The aerial distance between the residence and the selected schools should be accurately calculated using Google Maps.
- Location Accuracy:
The residence location must be precisely marked on the application portal using the balloon feature. Note that the location can be adjusted up to five times only.
- Details to Verify:
Ensure that all information provided in the application form is accurate, including:
- Home address
- Date of birth
- Income certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
Any false information will lead to the cancellation of the application and admission.
- Timely Submission:
Submit the application within the given timeline. Applying early is strongly recommended to avoid technical issues or delays due to poor internet connectivity on the final submission day.
- Single Application Rule:
Only one complete application per child is permitted. Submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
