To support aspiring candidates from economically challenged backgrounds, particularly in the tribal community, who wish to join civil services but face financial constraints for proper coaching, the Shivraj Government of Madhya Pradesh has initiated a scheme. Under this scheme, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category are offered free coaching in Delhi to help fulfill their dreams of pursuing a career in civil services.
Candidates will be eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme only once. It is mandatory for applicants to register their profile on the MPTAASC portal. The age of the candidate will be determined based on the eligibility criteria set by UPSC for the relevant year of the Civil Services Examination.
Objective Of The Scheme
The scheme has been introduced with the objective of assisting candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes in successfully clearing various level examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Under this program, the government offers free coaching to these candidates through reputed coaching institutes situated in Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh and belong to the Scheduled Caste.
- The annual income of parents or the applicant should not exceed Rs. 6 lakh.
- Candidates who have cleared the MPPSC mains exam in the last three years will be directly selected under the scheme.
- Candidates who have completed their graduation will be selected based on their merit and marks obtained in the graduation degree for the remaining seats.
- 5 per cent of the seats will be reserved for economically weaker deserving students who are in need of financial assistance.
Benefits Of The Scheme
- Under the scheme, the fee of the eligible candidate will be directly transferred to the bank account of the respective coaching institute (up to a maximum of two lakh rupees).
- An amount of fifteen thousand rupees will be transferred to the bank account of the candidate for purchasing books (only once).
- Candidates will receive an amount of twelve thousand five hundred rupees per month for transportation, accommodation, and meal facilities (for a period of 18 months).
